How Can Teens Deal With Stress?

Have you ever looked at people who just seem to share happiness and good energy and you wished that you could be like them? Maybe you wondered "Why do they have so many friends? Why are they so popular? Why do they look so great?” Of course you ever feel disown, grouchy, lazy, hateful, mean, and just want to act ugly. Teen years can be very stressful.
Stress is something that all teens face. Many good things that happen can cause stress, and bad things often seem overwhelming to teens that have had limited experience with adult problems. Stress can cause not just emotional problems but physical ones as well. Learning to deal with stress is important for teens. Following these ways to cope stress in a more positive manner.
1.       Be an optimism teen. Optimism can help us to try again if something goes wrong. For example, if a teen with a negative attitude fails a test, he may just give up and sink deeper and deeper into failing grades. Having a positive attitude can help us as teen develop better planning for the next test, such as adjusting a study schedule to be better prepared, getting tutoring, or discussing grades with the teacher. Having a positive attitude will help you to get what you want out of life, while having fun and being able to laugh.
2.       Mantaining good health is an important step to reducing stress. Anytime a teen is stressed, physical problems such as insomnia, lack of appetite, or anxiety, can occur and seeking medical help can be helpful. Consumption of caffeine, drugs, alcohol, or tobacco will not help problems because although many teens use these things for temporary relief of problems, they will only add to stress if continued.
3.       Physical exercise is a great stress reliever. Physical exercise allows a teen to vent stress and to keep the body in good shape, allowing for better health. Most teens who feel well physically have a better attitude and a better self-concept than others.
4.       Helping others is another manner. This is a good way for us as teen to develop more self-confidence and to feel better about ourselves. Teens can find ways to express themselves to relieving stress. Join a social organization or extracurriculer at school can all be fun and relaxing for us. Being recognized makes a teen feel that he can be a support to those less fortunate.
There are several things that can we learn from this life:
1.       Try to stop youself from thinking bad thoughts about yourself.
2.       Don’t judge people. You’re not perfect, so why should they have to be?
3.       Don’t be discouraged. Creating a positive attitude takes a long time and if you do the best you can to be positive on a daily basis, you will eventually get it.
4.       We all have our sad days. It’s okay to be upset and sad. Being positive doesn’t mean being perfectly happy. Just try and do your grateful rock exercise no matter what on those days. Gratefulness is still a form of positive activity.
